I loved staying at this onsen hotel right by the beach! The ocean views were amazing, especially from the rooftop onsen. Plus, the staff was super friendly and the traditional tatami rooms were surprisingly comfy! Having a private onsen tub in the room was a real treat after a long day of meetings. The location was perfect, close to many restaurants and shops.
But honestly, I was kinda bummed about the breakfast. The selection was pretty limited, and I expected more variety. the parking fees were an extra hassle at 550 yen a day. it was nice, but I wish a few things were better.

Every detail of this quiet property was perfect. The rooms were neat with a terrific massage chair, you feel like home. It was in a good and unbeatable location short walk to Next to a Korean BBQ restaurant, big department store and railway station. Food was fabulous and I have nothing but very comfortable memories from this trip.

The units were great-sized in the japanese style. You will find a safe, central heating, and a work desk. As for me location is magnificent, very close to the ocean and all the sea traffic that goes by.

The view of Beppu Bay was nice, and the location was great for exploring. The only downside was the limited English communication.

The hotel served great breakfast with local foods to try, nice view and also enough options for a "westerner ", truly enjoyed it.

The rooftop onsen experience at sunrise was fine and refreshing, making our mornings special.
Communication with staff could be challenging, as only a few employees spoke English proficiently, which led to some misunderstandings.

The room provided fine views of Beppu Bay, a delight every morning. The private ceramic bath offered a unique experience, nice for a relaxing soak with picturesque scenery. Housekeeping ensured fresh towels were consistently provided, maintaining cleanliness throughout my stay. The windows lacked screens, letting bugs in when opened was great. Noise from the upper floors occasionally disrupted the peace I sought. While dining was an adventure with Japanese-style meals, the price felt steep for the service I experienced, lacking clear communication at times. It's a shame, as the potential for a nice experience is evident but hampered a bit by these issues.

The family loved the amazing sea views from our spacious room, and the private onsen was a fantastic way to unwind. My teenage daughter particularly enjoyed the rooftop onsen experience at sunrise. It was fine and very refreshing.
My kids wished there were more clear instructions on using the futon beds and yukata.

Family with children cozy experience
The room was really spacious with a huge window where you can just sit and admire that beautiful ocean. Plus, the staff was super helpful, they even ran to help us carry our bags right when we got there, service like that just feels special.
It was a bit pricey but I guess it's worth it for the experience.
